Wellbore Preparation

We are a leading provider of wellbore services, helping deliver optimum production from the wellsites of our customers so they can quickly and efficiently realize greater returns. Our specialized, basin-specific expertise enables us to assess the most effective approach at the wellbore in relation to the geological complexities and environments present in the most active resource plays in North America.

Our wellbore services include:

Cementing

We are a recognized leader in developing cementing solutions that make reservoir access efficient and reliable in some of the most challenging downhole conditions that persist in the continent’s most active basins. Our approach to cementing - the process we use to bond casing to the exposed wellbore - is second-to-none due to our basin-specific expertise and fit-for-purpose equipment.

Perforating

CPX owns and operates a fleet of wireline units located throughout North America. Truck and skid-mounted wireline services are used to evaluate downhole well conditions as well as initiating production from a formation by perforating a well’s casing.

Typically the final step in making a connection between the wellbore and formation, CPX’s perforating services utilize the safest and most reliable charges to open the casing or liner and allow for connection to the reservoir. Our perforating services are undertaken with an eye toward minimizing casing damage so that optimal production can commence upon completion.

Bond Logging

CPX owns and operates a fleet of wireline units located throughout North America. Truck and skid-mounted wireline services are used to evaluate downhole well conditions as well as initiating production from a formation by perforating a well’s casing.

Tubing Conveyed Perforation

Tubing conveyed perforating, or TCP, systems provide safe and efficient perforations to optimize well productivity. During the process, tubing, drillpipe or coiled tubing conveys perforating guns to the depth required by the customer. These scalloped-gun perforating systems can be used to perforate long intervals of casing in highly deviated, underbalanced and hostile well environments.
